The Swiss born artist Erik Nitsche worked in Germany then France from where he moved to America prior to the outbreak of WW2.
His work for General Dynamics included modernist designs of all posters for the company which wanted to show the peaceful use of Atomic Energy instead of it's use as a weapon of destruction. The posters were to be started prior to the International Conference on Peaceful use of Atomic Energy.
